Is it fair that women in the private sector earn more money than women in public services such as teaching and nursing?

You've got a fish out of water and the bull by the short-n-curlies with that comment.

We need to get back to the role of government in our so-called democracy; values driven nation-building, social maturation, sustainable practices, etc. and of course the provision of support to those at risk and those disadvantaged.

It is not the role of government to deliver welfare to the wealthy - they ARE already the main beneficiaries of our capitalist state.

In the same breath Tony Abbott will proudly the School Kids Bonus to 1.3m families that gives every kid the chance to attend school, the Clean Energy Fund that is driving innovation to deliver more sustainable energy practices while delivering $75k payments to people least in need of it.

That's spitting tory arrogance in our faces!
