The whole problem with a CR is not that you can't do one but simply why would ordinary shareholders inject more capital to arguably just prop up the position of the hybrids? It would basically just be a freebie transfer of wealth from ordinaries to hybrids unless taking out the hybrid at a set price was part of the deal.
