IMO the MRRT doesn't not figure at all in the cost of financing the start up and construction of the mine...or securing offtake and customers...that's all we need to worry about in the short to medium term...
I say keep the MRRT...nothing would make me happier than FMS making enough super profits to qualify to pay this tax and also see my kids, the next generation benefit...not just leave the next generation with big holes in the ground....Image what the SP will be if we are actually making enough super profits to pay for the Resource tax....Wahoo bring it on.....
Ocka IMO if some people are making too much money to have a family then obviously they don't need any handout from the government and their priority is obviously not kids...a 6 months hand out isn't going to create generational wealth...
IMO PPL is a short sighted scheme, most companies already pay for their staff to take Maternity leave particularly those earning 150k a year...and we have current arrangements for lower earners as a stop gap....this scheme basically gives big business a big handout....I would prefer to see the money put into Child care, after school care or schools, that's where it is needed..All just my opinion though...I will stop waffling on now...politics is such an emotive topic to discuss...
Back to the business of seeing our FMS investment make us some generational wealth
