Until and unless you do Labor's commitments to building the NBN, better schools, better health services, better infrastructure and a more sustainable future must be seen as productive investments / nation-building!
As for numbers such as these:
. Pensioner receiving $14k per year under the Howard Govt. [that's less than 1/5th of what Tony Abbott's PPL will hand to his daughters each time they have a baby should they earn $150k or more p.a.]
. Restoration of subsidies to the wealthiest for medical insurance rebates.
. Increasing the amounts our wealthiest people can slide into superannuation; reducing their marginal tax rate from 46% to 15%.
Of course; that's blatant redistribution of wealth from those most in need to those least in need and pretty sickening really!
