Thanks for that feedback, yet another thoughtful and appreciated response.

I'm a reformer and therefore unlikely to see any value in people who just sit on their well remunerated rear ends in Parliament under the excuse of being conservative.

Joe Hockey's apparent underlying economic beliefs are probably closer to mine than any other pollie, sadly he gets flustered and frustrated as he struggles to protect his leader.

My view on the role of government in democracies is that they should serve the mainstream and not the elites. John Howard's economic profligacy in embedding welfare for the wealthy in our budget deeply disappointed me.

Tony Abbott is an aggressive replica of Howard and his commitment to delivering even more welfare to the wealthy puts him at the opposite end of the economic and social spectrum to me. So too his archaic attitudes to gay rights and his authoritarian approach to party management.

Kelly O'Dwyer will mature with more experience and may well climb the power ladder. If Mirabella is re-elected and still ends up on an Abbott frontbench in government she will almost single-handedly destroy it.
