Any company that does not increase (or at the very least maintain) its earnings is in danger of capitulation.
Unfortunately I have held stocks like this in the past ;-(
SNN has a market cap of $14.4 million, but if it can't generate income what's it worth ?
It may be best to wait and see if they can turn the corner, before committing hard earned capital.
The market always values the stock towards future earnings.
