The AFL is investigating ways to prevent teams ''doing a Fremantle'' and resting a third of their side in games.
The Dockers, not for the first time on the eve of a finals series, have made 10 changes for Saturday's game against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium, and they admit that seven of those players are being rested.
AFL chief executive Andrew Demetriou admitted he was troubled by the impact on the integrity of the game of teams resting large numbers of players.
He said the NBA in the US had rules to prevent teams from doing such a thing and the AFL would renew its investigation into introducing a similar rule.
Integrity lol, Andrew my dear overweight and underworked friend, your integrity and that of the AFL flew out the door some time ago. Tuck into another platter of cheese and olives.
