Well it is apparent to some of us that some Liberals certainly believe in their divine right to rule; explaining their colonial era attachment to the monarchy at the expense of Australia's dynamic maturation into a genuinely sovereign nation.

We can see this in Tony Abbott's public opposition to our role in the G20 and on the UN Security Council.

The reality is that all too often the reactionary side of politics commits us to illegal and counter-productive wars due to the colonial era superiority complex ingrained in their DNA that also subjugates us to another nation and its Queen.

That same self-serving pre-occupation has ensured that wealth in Australia has become increasingly concentrated in the hands of the wealthy and that assets and capital have been sent overseas or allowed to be lazy.

It would be great if just once the conservative side of Aussie politics actually invested in a more productive future for Australia and thereby avoided trophies such as Howard's 'Most Profligate PM in History'.
