Further to my last post; this has just been posted on the Border Mail's website in an article entitled; "Sack the council say former councillors":

"... Recent mayors Roberto Paino and Anthony Griffiths and ex-councillors Lauren McCully and Doug McPhie have produced a statement condemning Cr Parisotto and councillors, Julian Fidge, Noel Amery and Paul O’Brien.

“Mayor Parisotto at a council meeting only last week, sought to confirm her support and encouragement for the former CEO and CMT members to return to work only to reveal last night that moves had been made over several months to try and secure their departure,” they said. ..."

"... “The total cost of these episodes could easily reach $2 to $3 million dollars, money the community cannot afford and the implications of this disgraceful behaviour by the council will be felt for years to come.

“This council has achieved nothing, has shown itself to be ego driven without regard to the personal well-being of others, and importantly has learned nothing from what has been a disaster from the very day the election results were made public. ..."
