It would seem that the whole gay marriage issue comes down to Rudd pandering to lunatic-fringe groups demanding that the basic structural framework upon which our societies are based and most of the animal kingdom is based, and have been based for all of our natural history, be overturned in some zany radical experiment in creating some weird topsy-turvy society where boys marry boys and girls marry girls...
Tony Abbott is quite sensibly taking the position that destruction of the basic structural framework of our societies is best considered "very carefully" rather than as a throw-away election line by a known liar and proven incompetent clown like Rudd...
And of course it is best to remember that people close to Rudd who have worked for years with Rudd have questioned Rudd's mental stability publicly and repeatedly...
