re: gambling revenue in clubs & hotels rise 15% Yes. I have been reading about the "brawl" in the media for the past few weeks.

3 people vying for 2 seats:

    1. Peter Kerr - seeks re-election.

    2. Dr Michael Vertigan. Chairman of Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees Ltd (a shareholder in TTS, I think). Chair of Ausgest Pty Ltd (Trustee of the Agest Superannuation Fund) and a Director of Eraring Energy and ASX Supervisory Review Pty Ltd. Chancellor of the University of Tasmania. Was a member of the Tasmanian Gaming Commission. Fellow of the Aust. Institute of Company Directors. First class honours degree in economics from Uni. Tasmania and a PhD in Business Administration from the University of California (Berkeley).

    3. Julien Playoust. Managing Director of a Sydney based private investment company. Had done management consulting with Andersen Consulting/Accenture. Company director of 17 years standing and 20 companies. Member of the Aust. Institute of Company Directors, AIM, Royal Australian Institute of Architects and TEC. MBA from AGSM. Bachelor of Architecture (1st class honours) and Bachelor of Science from Sydney University.

I have already cast my votes.

Irregardless of who wins the 2 seats, the punters will still buy lottery tickets and put money into pokies. The cash flows and the licence renewals and the calibre of the CEO is what I focus on a bit more, than which of the 3 people gets 2 seats.

The door is open for shareholders to come and go.
