Omg i find that there's a fair bit of naivety in your posts on the debt issues and a lot of blind faith that these various other parties are going to look after your interests ahead of their own.

You're an equity holder in lynas, which means you stand behind the debt holders and take the first hit when things go bad, in return for most of the upside when things go well.

Soljitz have been forced to renegotiate once. Why would they do it again? There is $450million of debt here. If lynas cant meet the covenants protecting those lenders then the equity holders are in trouble. Thats you.

The lenders, whether Solitz, Mt kellett or an alternate such as China in a distressed situation may step in to take over lynas and its management team to keep it running and get their money back, but that would likely be without the equity holders who could be wiped out and the company delisted.

If there is any chance however slim of a company breaching its loan covenants, then you dont want to be holding its shares.
