Well, if you had seen the existing videos of the US hasty evacuation from Saigon, you wouldnt ask that question. The Hueys taking the US personnel from the roof of the US embassy with the vietnamese employees trying to grab the skids, and being left to be killed....the aircraft being pushed over the side of the carrier to make room for the next evacuees..... The most panic stricken situation one could imagine. A dog in pain and running from a guy wielding a stick would have more dignity..... And the evacuation from Phnom Penh wasnt any more dignified.
And Iraq & Afghanistan.....you & Goerge Bush would be the only 2 claiming a victory there.....what was achieved, besides destroying a country and pulling out?

Rubbish. I was one of those bloodthirsty types that would have happily nuked North Vietnam.....then. Now I'm a bit wiser. And I applied that wisdom to my thoughts when iraq & Afghanistan were invaded.....and shook my head. Back in the '60's I took some bark off my knuckles on a couple of those collecting money for the VC (for humanitarian purposes, lol) during the anti-war marches. I regarded them as traitors...... Now, I think they were right.... The domino theory was crap, and the war was for nothing.....
"Iraq actually blocked US companies from Oil contracts." Correct, the US aint got no oil in Iraq. BUT, only US companies have the contracts for drilling wells and building plants & processing oil. They make more money than if they owned the oil wells......and they think they can say "it really wasnt about oil", lol.
So, think about it...what good did we do in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya? Besides wrecking them, I mean? And what will happen to Syria? Exactly the same as in Libya....wrecked forever. And you guys reckon thats great? Even now, the majority of Syrians support Assad...just recently it was 70%...when your mob take over, all the Christians will be killed, and even Muslims slaughtered. Is that what you want? Because that's what will happen.
I reckon they should run a "Peace 101" course for you war-lovers, involving some good graphic film of what war entails. Apart from the likes of John Kerry, only those who have never seen war, wish for war. It aint like in the movies...
