The Libs plan is to connect a minimum of 25% of fixed lines to FTTH, the rest of us will have to pay for 80,000 street cabinets a few hundred thousand batteries for those cabinets, extra maintenance costs of those street cabinets, and also pay Telstra extra for the use of their copper from the cabinet to the home.
All of the above becomes obsolete with a FTTH connection, so why should I pay twice?
Bill me the difference to do it correct the first time, I don't want to paying for half arsed infrastructure that I don't need.
Let those that don't want FTTH opt out and let those that want FTTH opt in and bill them the difference straight up.
