Kat, the Japanese did not want to occupy Australia...they have stated that. They only attacked our ports to destroy shipping that could be used against them to the North in Asia.

Well, more than half did. Remember, the US divided Berlin & GAVE East Berlin and all the East European countries, including some who sided with the Allies, to the Russians, where they suffered under Communist rule.
