I suggested you think harder rather than mindlessly regurgitate Tony Abbott spin.
Clue 1: If the Coalition wins and Mirabella loses; Abbott will have to replace a frontbencher as from Day 1 [think factions, aspirants, contests, across the portfolio, ...].
Clue 2: Abbott will have to explain to mainstream Australians why one of his frontbenchers lost her very safe seat despite saturation advertising etc.
Clue 3: Abbott would have another one of those horrid Independents to deal with; a fiesty woman no less who is going to pester the hell out of him on behalf of the good people of Indi.
Clue 4: Abbott is going to have to resolve cracks that appear to be growing between the Liberals and the Nationals - even Tim Fisher is supporting McGowan [ie. one of those 'coalitions' with minor parties he said he hates].
