You can only substantiate (or quantify) the article by buying it and doing some research.
I've read their stuff before and its reasonable analysis - I'm assuming they've actually been down there, talked to the directors, talked to someone at the airport, talked to some contacts in china and then done some math about what it all means.
There is not anything unreasonable in suggesting that WCB would make huge profits from selling fresh milk to china and of major dairy producers they're in a strategic location where milk is relatively cheap.
My hope is that if they do pin down this deal they'll start buying up more milk from the area generally to ship overseas and it will boost all elements of their business. This is 100% a logistical challenge.
I mean, thats bad news for local inflation and the price of milk at coles but I think that $1 a litre milk compared with 4x that price in china the company cant ignore that.
