Comprehension alert. Never said they do not pay tax. I think they don't pay enough for the minerals they take and the structural changes they are inflicting on Australia. If they were 100 Aussie owned I would say good luck to them. Seems even QLD premier Newman agrees given that he has increased taxes on mining.
The mining industry is becoming a bigger part of our economy and so is crowding out the higher tax paying (as % of GOS) industries.
