I believe that soccer supporters do actually find value in the low scoring and the luck element. There is certainly much tension and build up in a potential scoring run and many people go to the game purely for that.

To me, the blot on the game is the penalty shoot out that often needs to be done. I know that this is done after playing extra time but it is the ultimate raffle. I would prefer that they played the extra time with the goalkeeper not allowed to use his hands to save goals.

To whoever said that soccer was a "low" game. I think that person was saying that as a comment about the skill level being low. You have to be joking!! I can not think of a game that requires more physical skill. I say that even though I do not follow soccer in anyway.
