This guy resigned from Politics mid term after an election and walked away, just as Beatty did. Is that a thing with Labor Premiers, resign then expect a plum role some where else?
He resigned from politics as it was all too hard and he wanted to spend time with his family. But 6 years later getting a plum job overseas from his mates where there is zero scrutiny is all ok though.
Labor was effectively in caretaker mode since February as the election date had been announced even though gillard had not formally gone to the GG to dissolve the Parliament. Any appointments after that date reeked of cronyism...
