This is what is commonly called vapourware.
I have seen a similar approach touted using Fe/Mn magnets from a US university (think it was on the ALK thread also).
But Fujitsi have more credibility than the other guys as US unis are always looking for the next research grant (or IPO opportunity). Anyone remember the Supercapacitor BS that was going to make Li/ion batteries obsolete?

Check out the description of the technology, finite element analysis and nanotech.
Probably involves building the magnets molecule by molecule to align the magnetic domains (or whatever they are called at that level).
Maybe 10-20 years off and probably still more expensive than good old HREE magnets.
