A better analogy would be the NBN is like a road where you get to choose what you want to ride or drive on the road.

It could be a scooter, a delivery van, and yes even a Ferrari, but you pay proportionally for what you put on the road.

No point building a road that a delivery van can't fit down, or limits commerce being efficient and effective.
