jc read some books on macroeconomics really. Cheap oil is also good for mining companies as well. Its good for anyone who burns oil which is basically everyone. Strong oil=inflation running Weak oil= less inflationary pressure. The main reason commodities are strong is demand from China india and other developing nations. Im not about to write an essay on it but lets just say that macro economics is worth learning about if you are going to have any chance of figuring out what might happen next in the markets.
