I was going to start a 9/11 post seeing it's the anniversary and there are docos on tv.....and the elections over and we need something to talk about.
I saw the BBC special on conspiracies last night, it was tremendous and described the conspiracy theorists as what they are. They believe it so deeply it's like trashing someone's religion.
Alex Jones keeps going on about there being no plane wreackage at the Pentagon, then you see shots of plane wreckage at the Pentagon, find out that remains have been positively identified by dna from flight 77, and hear from experts on the scene within an hour, but they don't listen.
They want to believe in the theories in order to escape reality and soothe their fear.
That Dylan Avery kid, known the world over is a complete halfwit with psychological problems. The entire time they were interviewing him he was picking at his arm.
I think, especially in this instance that it is more than harmless, as these views denigrate victims and families that were caught in the tragedy.
