The change from a planned 6 stage frac (April 26 Ann) to an 8 stage frac at EL2 would have been done after careful analysis, probably with a view of getting better flows for not much additional money. [does an extra frac state cost many $$$ ? ]
Would this decision likely have been made on the basis of the thicker than expected shale and or due to the slightly shorter lateral (was originally planned to be 600m) or possibly to give the maximum possibility of really good headline production test result?
