    Hi there 67shelby,

I had a figure of $75,000/stage in my head for some reason but was not confident. So, I put the question to some pretty switched on US based forum members ( no not the yahoo website, lol ) Here is what I was told so take from it what you feel is relative.

    cheers

No easy answer for this issue. Very different costs for verticals vs horizontal fracs due to needed pump pressure and related equipment. Different costs as to sliding sleeve / packer plus versus perf and plug approach. Amount of proppant and /or frac fluid as well as types of fluid (water, gel, etc) and proppant (sand, ceramics, etc) all impact cost.

And then there is the "cost" vs "what is paid" due to rebates that contractors give certain operators.

I am not aware of any website where you could get a cost estimate. Contractors keep their cost structure pretty close to the vest for a varety of reasons.

But with all that being said, I will toss out a frac cost of $100,000 to $150,000 per stage (plus / minus 25%).
