imho thats why shorting should be banned, if it is true what you say that there is no urgency to buy back, then this creates a stagnant stock in or current situation as no one is selling and due to shorting pressure less are buying, this does not create a fair and liquid trading environment, so if an oligarchy owns too much of a stock and can set the stocks position to suit its need then imho
this is manipulation pure and simple and should be banned completely!!!!
