Lol it was a guess, with "probably because" indicating that.
What bothers me is that the politics forum tends to be an environment where people "sound off" and let it rip emotionally, rather than engaging in considered, rational discussion.
For this reason, I only make sporadic attempts to engage.
BTW your sign off is fine with me, except that voters must be well informed in order that majority rule doesn't become blind mob rule.
There has been an inordinate amount of hatred being expressed in here, and it's inversely related to the lack of carefully considered discussion IMO.
When people are emotional (and that includes expressing anger), it's a sign that reason has gone out of the window. I don't find many of the discussions in here to be terribly rational, let alone discussing competing policies or discussing in a critical way, how and why power is being expressed (via mainstream mass media etc) and the legitimacy of that power, and that bothers me quite a lot.
But never mind, my expectations are not high with the politics forum.
