I think people need to realise the extent carboxylic acid groups and carbodiimides along with the associated reagents are used in the medical and research industry also the costs and draw backs derived from their uses.
Once you get you head around that, then look at all the industrial products and their uses that also rely on carboxylic acid groups and carbodiimides. The multinational medicos have the chance for a better product at a faction of the price.
