Gaweb, the reasons the germans havent been in any wars since ww11 is because"
(1)they were flattened.
(2) they had a huge occupation force including the US military standing between them and the Iron curtain.
(3) If it wasnt for the US, there wouldnt have been a West Germany and East Germany ..just one large DDR as client state of the Soviet Union.
(4) You may also have noticed that while the East Germans were a first world country driving crappy old clunkers like BMW's and Benz's, the East Germans were living it up behind the barbed wire and enjoying the pleasures of owning a Trabant ....maybe
