Bytee,
you say,
Bowral, Teling me that I don't understand the subject is not an argument. Make an argument. State some facts. Explain where I'm wrong.
Snider, I'm so very pleased that you clarified the exact nature of the original sin, that being "to Eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of good and bad" So the big deal, first and ultimate sin, was that Eve wanted knowledge, she wanted to know WHAT THE F@*K was going on... And for this we are all damned and need salvation. I do not believe that god exists and therefore do not believe that Satan exists. Unfortunately I do believe that Religion exists and that is the true adversary, preventing mankind from growing to the levels of dignity of which we are able.
So, following your argument, if we take religion away altogether, then mankind can grow to the levels of dignity of which we are able, is that what you are trying to say,
THAT EXPERIMENT HAS BEEN TRIED BEFORE,
now where on earth have they tried to take religion away from and live in perfect harmony?
That's right, communism, think Russia, Think China,
I don't think your "experiment" of a religious free utopia is all it's cracked up to be
