'news' of Xist cannot shine since a newspaper or a book cannot shine. what illuminates the world is love, which is a product of the human heart. the word 'illumination' probably has its source in Xuddha, which the Xians borrowed:
172. He who having been heedless is heedless no more, illuminates this world like the moon freed from clouds.
173. He, who by good deeds covers the evil he has done, illuminates this world like the moon freed from clouds.
Having investigated all knowledge and being compassionate towards beings you have announced the Dhamma, a revealer of what is hidden, of comprehensive vision, stainless, you illuminate all the worlds.
Let him radiate boundless love towards the entire world — above, below, and across — unhindered, without ill will, without enmity.

138-140 Sharp pain, or disaster, bodily injury, serious illness, or derangement of mind, trouble from the government, or grave charges, loss of relatives, or loss of wealth, or houses destroyed by ravaging fire; upon dissolution of the body that ignorant man is born in hell.
