I don't believe Tony Abbott or anybody within the Coalition has actually announced anything to the Indonesians yet. I believe he is meeting with the Indonesian president next week to discuss...
This is actually what happens when the media get hold of something and publish half the facts, or you have a rabid leftist political party hell bent on derailing any policy or initiative they can get their hands on to deride their opposition.
All the Labor Party did for the past 12 months is harp on about what the Coalition will or won't do to stop the boats. Nothing about what they should do of course...
When something was mentioned by the opposition all of a sudden it is POLICY and this is what Tony Abbott is going to do...blah blah. So the Indonesians admit to reading the papers to gain their information, says an awful lot for the Labor Party and the communications they had doesn't it!
The whole mess can be planted squarely at the feet of Julia Gillard and Kevin Rudd along with their beloved Labor Party / Green alliance. We wouldn't be in this mess if it weren't for their stupidity in the first place...how the Labor luvvies so easily forget this fact.
But we would all be positive that Tony Abbott would be very aware that Indonesia's support and cooperation is critically important to stop Asylum Seekers getting on the boats in the first place.
