The question should be "what would the share price be now if CDU had started mining rather than telling M&G that they needed more time and money".
I submit that given the complexity of such a huge project which the company has always strived to complete in the best possible way without shortcuts that might cost the company and shareholders money in the long term (there are multiple instances to prove this), that they did in fact _not_ have a choice but to delay mining until a later date.
but... the company actually began "full scale mining" in August (as per their announcements); i.e., m&g began to sell their holdings in the company a mere 8 weeks prior to the commencement of mining.
and... while things may seem quiet on the announcement front (putting aside for the moment the significant announcements regarding continued discoveries), the company is quietly building significant stockpiles of saleable DSO ore, ready to sell and ship as soon as sales contracts are signed.
