Actually I was a bit worried when I bought at 1.435 and it went below yesterday...
I did keep it, so was quite happy I jagged the announcement today. Otherwise it would have been quite likely your scenario would have played out in the short term. It still may, depending on what games the $14mil of shorters at ASIC date 12/09 may want to play.
I think on a FA however I would value it at least $2, so I'll keep it until around then, and prob beyond if div's look like increasing. I noticed the 5c final div was below the previous dividend ratios, so hopefully more room to move next year. But then we will also want to know about margins etc.
