The Free world, with a lot of help from America defeated Facist Germany TWICE, which defeat revealed, to the the horror of the world, the atrocities by which Hitler ordered the death, in gas chambers, of 6 million Jews, and Gypsies and anyone with a defect of any description;

The USA defeated Imperialist Japan after it was attacked,without any provocation,at Pearl Harbour;

The USA, with the aid of its allies, stopped the North Korean megalomaniac despot, from putting all of South Korea in a state of constant hunger and fear;

I have never ever heard anyone declare that Japan was goaded into war, and it certainly can't see how that would justify its invasion of SE Asia, and China and the numerous atrocities it committed on those peoples.
