syp, I haven't read your links but I agree there are some very shameful things that have happened and will continue to happen under the guise of religious cultures. It is however important to be sure that articles you post and base your beliefs on are accurate. I have little time for people who wish to push their racist beliefs based on some baseless or construed story doing the rounds on the net. And I don't like to tar people of any faith with the same tainted brush.
On the other side of the coin however, I don't understand why anyone would want to live their lives by a 2000 year old instruction manual. That goes with any faith.
