That is a common view expressed on hotcopper. However, those that sell early get to keep more of their capital in a downtrend and can buy back even more shares.
Hard to believe this still may be good advice for AMX holders, but it proved to be the case all the way down from over the $3.00 region to now.
Unfortunately I think the gold price is going to be taken down to somewhere closer to USD1,000 over the next few months, taper or no taper. If that proves to be the case goldies will be trashed near to their death points (and in some cases beyond).
