    Yes the old supply and demand and worse the stinking futures paper markets that set prices for everyone but produce nothing themselves.

    Shearing your own sheep, yes that would be saving a lot of money. Your in Jarrahdale, I think that is just North of Perth as you say. I was born and raised in Perth but a long time ago. My brother owns a house up at Cervantees so when Im over there I think we drive through that area, Im not sure I haven't lived there for a long time. The rainfall is probably not so bad there.
    I worked up around Meekatharra in the early seventee's. Started as a rousty in a 5 stand team. A good life. When the generator started in the morning my feet started running and never stopped except for smoko and lunch. Got too smart with the shearers and had long hair, but not for long they held me down and gave me a long blow across the top of my head, a reverse Mohawk

    What do you get per fleece these days? When I was there doing it it was about 50-60cents per fleece. So long as you're makin a bit its not so bad.
