six20aus - if the flow/production tests prove up, then it's highly likely that NEN will sooner than later need to find some more chips to throw on the table to stay in the game (CR/SPP etc). If NEN goes this route a CR will drive the sp up, not down. They'll be funding a rocket, not a bomb.

I've got shares in some small Cooper Basin shale plays that are going backwards (and making me poorer by the day) - but the big hope there has been that the CB will prove commercial enough to sell LNG into Asia.

However, without sounding unpatriotic, if NEN's VN plays' proves up it could put a bit of a kink in the CB prospects.
