Mr Humility, maybe you should take your own advice at the bottom of your post and go and become a shield. Or are you only a hypocritical armchair pacifist?
Also you mis-represent Iraqi children in your post by saying they are just like the ones we see every day here. The Iraqi children are trained to fire guns and become suicide bombers so unless I am missing something they are not like children here.
