Wow John you really do seem to have a chip on your shoulder in this regard. For the size of the market the likes of ownership of the likes of 100 properties (which would be few and far between) is still a proverbial drop in the ocean so to bring in the likes of anti-trust laws is just rediculous. You are also assuming again that all investors are speculators when many of us are buy and hold and pay off with the rent with no interest in speculation.
Gotta love how you and others basically think investors providing a service are basically parriahs on society - if I and others didn't provide the accomodation then many of these same people would be homeless as the gov't sure as hell won't ever provide enough housing. Sure there will always be some unscrupulous operators out there just like there are bad tenants but we are not all in the same bucket and to call us hoarders for owning a few properties is plain wrong especially when those properties are being actively used!
