It appears to have become obvious IMO that the ALDP program was suffering from a distinct lack of applicants that have -
credible backing/funding
signed off take agreements
partners with previous experience
etc...
An article was published mid ALDP program progress stating the Gov would search high and low for contenders and as seen in LV City Council minutes, that's when shanghai Electric came into the picture.
Read the following Case Study by BCIA and see if you agree that the rules will be bent a little to let Ignite into ALDP despite clearly claiming to have a CDP in NSW.
Ignite now refer to that plant as a large pilot plant. Lol
Well, you can't blame them, if others can't secure funding/partnering, what choice do the DPI have but to widen the net, however looks a little dodgy.
