    Hi fluffy,

Hope your wife's endo went OK.

Interesting thread. If taking cox2 inhibitors such a mobic (meloxicam)on a daily basis, take pantaprozole or somac as well. It mitigates tummy problems. I'm always surprised when doctors don't prescribe it as they should go hand in hand. You can buy it over the counter but a doctors script is a better alternative.

As the joints of babyboomers start to flare up after a life mantra of "no pain, no gain" it will definitely be a matter of watch this space.

    MMB,

At the risk of opening up a can of worms, has your doctor prescribed endep (low dose) or lyrica, they work synergistically together but fairly good separately. Cancer patients using endep (high dose) for depression, found it alleviated considerable pain so it is now prescribed widely (lower dose) for pain relief. It can take a couple of months to work out the best dose as it varies with individuals. Lyrica, scorned by many, also alleviates severe pain but can have side effects. A good doctor will work closely to get the dosage right. For severe, quality of life inhibiting pain, they work synergistically together to give you a life.

Regarding Mobic, a good cox2 inhibitor, take pantoprozole, or somac to help mitigate tummy problems. Probiotics or a good yoghurt also helps with this problem. Monitor kidneys and blood pressure if taking Mobic on a regular basis.

    Cheers -
