How exactly would you propose that schoolies week be stopped???????
Yes they could stop the planned events but this would not stop kids going to the Gold Coast (or anywhere else) to celebrate the end of school
So unless you are proposing an ban on school leavers going to places like the gold coast the kids are going to turn up regardless.
So therefore is it not better then to put on events, extra security and some level of support and contaiment, rather than have a whole bunch of kids roll up somewhere and left to run a total muck.
