Did anyone check for under sea thermal vents or volcanoes? They seem to be popping up everywhere.

For the heat to reach the lower ocean it still needs to be transferred there. This means the surface needs to get hot first. For the oceans to heat up from CO2 the atmosphere needs to heat up even before that.

The whole hypothesis just doesn't make sense without atmospheric warming.
