My guess is this is just a non-event.

Everyone knows after a short while of chest thumping and library books not being able to be checked out and the bills sitting on desks to be paid (like my bills waiting for payday), it will all be OK.

The more likely scenario for gold is when the 'crisis' is averted the insiders will get published some article in the press (100 places) where this means the end of gold for the next five years.

Then the naked short sales will appear, the bullion banks will pick up a bit of metal on the way down. The shorters will then start buying and push it back up to where it all started.

So, gold will start and end somewhere in the mid 1300s.

I am like All4. I am tired of the game. I have my gold investments. I will never sell. But I sure aint buying more. No crash of the world. Great. Crash of the world. Great. But I aint getting conned into the markets or real estate or selling my gold producers.
