re: Ann: LNC to Seek Listing on the Singapore... My view FWIW is that the move to the SGX is for the reasons stated in the ann - Bond has come to the conclusion, rightly or wrongly, that he can get greater benefit accessing the Asian capital markets through Singapore than he can trying to access Australian or US capital markets. He has been trying the OZ and US markets for a few years and has been unable to gain much traction viz the SP. LNC will need a lot of capital to participate in future UCG developments and that requirement is probably not too far off. He has been unable to unload the coal assets, is still in negative cash flow and has the US oil assets pretty much fully hocked. Clearly the hoped for profit contribution from US oil are not eventuating and LNC is getting closer to being fully drawn on it's existing loans.
The last announcements where he was trying to get a kick in the SP by stating an increase in the value of the oil assets fell pretty flat. I suspect that this market reaction was the catalyst to put the SGX plan into action.
LNC will need a cap raise and I would think once it gets the SGX listing the will be a considerable pump to boost the SP and ameliorate Bonds dilution.
