    Well thank you for your kind words, but I've just been reading an article about US Govt shutdowns since 1976, which many of our younger and less experienced (and getting poorer) posters won't be aware of.

    Since 1976 the S&P500 has risen by 11% in the 12 months following a govt. shutdown.

    I'm all set, but the goldbugs might not be, stockmarket up, gold down.
