When the standoff's sorted out gold is gonna head south in a big way, so you, Ophir and all the rest of the doomsday boys will be looking for the next round of bad news, which reminds me, there's a storm in the Gulf of Mexico, I'm surprised someone hasn't predicted mayhem in the oil market and gold going to the moon.

If the 1980 crash scenario rings true, which it has on a % basis up 'til now, next stop will be $1,000 and according to the latest FT, gold is in a powerful downtrend.

I see my mate Andy keeps buying useless yellow metal, if my memory's correct, last time he purchased was about $1,650, he's not learning, it's called throwing good money after bad.

I'd put up the comparison of the XJO vs XGD here for the last 1/2/5 years, but I'm worried you guys will become so despondent you'll stop posting and rob me of my entertainment, they reckon laughter's the best medicine.

BTW here's the end of year predictions for gold I started early 2013, you'll easily see who's the most accurate.
